Although we have been enjoying many vegetables from the garden already this year–including lettuce, zucchini, radishes, and herbs–this is the time of year when the tomatoes and green peppers start ripening in massive amounts on a daily basis. This is also the time of year when I do a lot of cooking and preserving so that my family and I can enjoy that wonderful goodness when the snow starts to fly.


These pictures represent the amount harvested from our garden every 3 days or so. Yes–I am busy but I also love it!

We have a lot of varieties of tomatoes.  New ones that we tried this year are Stonebridge, Oxheart, and Black Cherry.
