This year’s garden is growing with vim and vigor.
The weather is the only difference–but what a difference it has made. The tomato plants currently are over 6 foot 5 inches. This is the first time in my life where I have to stand on my tippy-toes to pick tomatoes!
The rest of the garden is growing just as well. The green peppers are producing 5 to 10 peppers a day. This is only going to increase over the next few weeks.
We have picked over 180 zucchini. The leaves are so thick we cannot weed (which is a blessing actually!) Each day I make a crock pot full of ratatouille and freeze what we do not eat for the winter. Our freezer is going to be very well-stocked!
And we had to make a new perch for Eugene, our guard falcon, because it was too thick in there to see him. (I think he looks dashing where he is!)
