Soap&Glory: Perfect 10 and Sexy Mother Pucker

I really love the look of bright red lipstick--on other people. Historically when I would purchase red lipstick I only liked it when I blotted it off my lips, leaving just a hint of color/stain. I was then free to add lip balm to my heart’s content and not worry about my lips being too bright or the color smearing.

Recently I tried Soap & Glory’s Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Pumping Gloss in Plums Up, a very moisturizing lip-gloss. The hint of color in this product is just enough to tint the lips. There is a slight chocolate mint scent (not overbearing) and a pleasant tingle for a few minutes after application. The tingle comes from their Lipswell Natural Plant Oil infusion.

Plums Up has that hint-of-red color that I love. It will have a permanent spot in my purse for the summer. Quick, easy, and smells great. What’s not to love?

Do my lips look plumper when using this product? Maybe. I’m not the type of person who will take before-and-after pictures trying to decide. I also have never tried to measure my lips. (Is there a special ruler? Do you need calipers? I have no clue.)

Screen Shot 2017-06-14 at 1.48.02 PMThe bottom line is that I like the way both of these shades look. The glosses will be part of my regular makeup routine. And, last but not least, the name Sexy Mother Pucker reminds me of Deadpool. (I know I’m a Geek. I’m proud of it.)

The other product I tried from the Soap & Glory makeup line is the limited edition 10-shade shadow pallet. The ten shades are Moon Mist, Minky, Nudecomer, Copper, Toasty, Damsel, Cream Soda, Choccy, Plumtious, and Smoulder. These colors are a mixture of matte and shimmer.

After wearing this for a few weeks, what impressed me the most is consistency of the colors. Many palettes strive to have a softer, easier to blend product and thus will kick-up powder when applied with a dry eye shadow brush. This pallet has the soft, easy-to-blend shadows without that cloud of powder. They are highly pigmented and apply easily both dry and with a brush dampened with MAC Prep & Prime Fix Plus.

Praise for Heart & Mind:

“The author has managed to weave an intricate web about being true to yourself. One shouldn’t be guided or led by others. Above all, feel the magic in your own heart. As the fairy godmother believes sometimes it is best not to mess with destiny.” –Chief, USN Ret…VT Town—a Top 500 Reviewer on Amazon.com

Praise for The World In Front of Me:

“Picked up this short story because I noted it was previously published in Penumbra, which was a pretty high quality publication. And this story lived up to my expectations for a professional quality piece.

The story’s main idea reminded me a lot of the Lakeside community in Neil Gaimon’s American Gods, but I won’t say anymore about that for fear of giving away spoilers. But fans of Gaimon should really enjoy this story. Fans of strong women who make tough choices should enjoy this as well”—KSluss—Review on Amazon.com

Praise for Going Home:

“This is an excellent short story that is full of surprises for the reader. Martial law is about to be imposed in the colony.

A secret room, trips on a train and a clandestine meeting are all part of this superb short story.

Most highly recommended”—Off Grid . . . And Loving It—a Top 500 Reviewer on Amazon.com

Praise for Wonderland:

“The writing is beautiful, the characters are complex and thoroughly developed and the story is fascinating. All of it together creates a world you don’t want to leave when the book ends. I am so glad I discovered this author and I cannot wait for her next book”—Mary—Review on Amazon.com
