clark-tibbs-367075Hi all–

If you have been a long-time reader of my blog, you will have noticed a few changes in the format. This will soon be accompanied by some changes in my posting schedule.

For the last year I have been posting 5 days a week. Posts about writing, reading, cooking, gaming, health and beauty, and a few guest posts as well. I have enjoyed it tremendously.

Blogging about my passions invigorates me. I look forward to writing the posts, taking the pictures, trying the products, reading the books, and cooking the meals for my family.

I enjoy sharing this with all of you.

But (and I’m sure you saw this coming) I cannot focus on this writing space, write fiction, and work.

Work pays the bills (and I enjoy it). It has to stay.

Creative writing feeds my soul. It’s all I have ever wanted to do. I started writing stories before I could actually write! I would tell the stories to my Grandma and she would dutifully write them down. It wasn’t her idea to do this. It was mine.

Creative writing needs to stay.

So I need to find time somewhere. My family insists that I spend at least a few hours of the day with them. I tried not sleeping. (It didn’t go particularly well.) There aren’t any other “home” areas where I can cut back.

This leaves blogging.

I will go back to my “irregular posting schedule,” which will boil down to posting on Monday and Wednesday and occasionally another day during the week. The virtual kitchen will remain open. I will muse about writing and share things from my fellow authors. I will still share my thoughts on the products that I “buy and try.” Just not as often.

And I will still share all of my writing news with you, like the fact that I have a new paranormal short story up on Wattpad:

And I have a new adult steampunk mystery series (with zombies!) debuting March 5 on Amazon in print and ebook:

And for those of you who enjoyed Starter Zone, Book One in my YA LitRPG series, The Revelation Chronicles, this means I will be sharing Book Two with you that much faster.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Glad you’re focusing on your writing, Chris! So hard to do all the parts as indie writers. Like Sharon, we post once a week too and find that works well.

Now we have to figure out how to get the marketing aspect down to a more manageable level…

  2. Good choice, Chris! I only blog once a week – twice if posting for other authors like a book tour. All the best in your new changes. I’m sure you’ll see that the choice you made was right for you! Cheers!
